Only one came back

I recently finished another audiobook by Peter Fitzsimons.

 Burke and Wills are well known here in Australia. They were the first Europeans to cross Australaia, starting in Melbourne and finishing in far North Queensland.

It was a great achievement and, also, a real disaster.

Of the 4 who made it to Carpentaria only 1 came back to tell his tale.

Burke was not the right leader. He didn't have the skills needed for something like this.

In 1860 Australia was more empty than it is today. They had to live off the land and left supplies, and men, who could have helped them survive.

King was the only one who survived of the 4. He only survived because an Aboriginal tribe took him in and saved him.

An epic journey which led to the death of most and, can l suggest, none of you try to walk across, or up, Australia!
