Jane Harper has a new book coming out.


 For the first time l can remember it is being released in Australia on Tuesday October 14th. The rest of the world will have to wait until April next year.

It is most unusual to see something released in Australia first. We normally have to wait for most things. In January l finally was able to see the film Conclave. It was released in Australia 3 months later than in America and this is typical of what happens here.

Of course Jane Harper is an Australian author, a very good author. Hopefully she will make appearances and l may able to see her talk at a library.

I have read all the Aaron Falk novels which began with The Dry. Then, as it happens, l lost touch with her novels. I saw The Survivors on Netflix yesterday and have watched both films that starred Eric Bana as Aaron Falk. Next on my list is Lost Man.

To reaquaint myself with this author l am currently listening to The Dry. It was such a good first novel and l will listen to this book while l wait for Lost Man to become available. I'm getting these books through my local library and l think the waiting list for the new novel will be long.

The heat has returned and so have l to where l stay in between jobs. We're having a hot, humid summer that never seems to stop.  Good weather for staying inside and writing poetry. Who's looking forward to the new Strike novel?

I like crime novels. They are my favourite to read. Of course, theses days, when l say read l mean listen. I have bad hearing and have had hearing aides for years. Audible and Borrow Box are on my phone which is connected to my hearing aides and it is much easier to carry a phone rather than a book. Robert Galbraith books are so good. I personally think that J.K. Rowling is a very good writer.  So l have gone back to the start. Through Audible l have listened to The Cuckoo's Calling right through to Troubled Blood. I'm going to listen to all of them; Ink Black Heart is next. They should all be finished by the time the new novel comes out and l can't wait.  Who else is waiting for the new release?
