 If only l could paint like The French Impressionists. 

Thank you to Boston's Fine Arts Museum for allowing these paintings to come to Australia. 


I took some short videos inside the gallery because it looked like a salon in the late 1800s. I've also taken photos of some of the paintings.  Please look at the whole video to see what a wonderful exhibition it is.

If any of you are coming to Melbourne this Winter it is well worth seeing.

I have never been disappointed by The Winter Masterpiece Exhibition that's held every year.  How lucky are we here in Melbourne to have such a wonderful arts scene.  It may be cold but there's still so much to see.

Who's looking forward to the new Strike novel?

I like crime novels. They are my favourite to read. Of course, theses days, when l say read l mean listen. I have bad hearing and have had hearing aides for years. Audible and Borrow Box are on my phone which is connected to my hearing aides and it is much easier to carry a phone rather than a book. Robert Galbraith books are so good. I personally think that J.K. Rowling is a very good writer.  So l have gone back to the start. Through Audible l have listened to The Cuckoo's Calling right through to Troubled Blood. I'm going to listen to all of them; Ink Black Heart is next. They should all be finished by the time the new novel comes out and l can't wait.  Who else is waiting for the new release? The heat has returned and so have l to where l stay in between jobs. We're having a hot, humid summer that never seems to stop.  Good weather for staying inside and writing poetry. I have to ask you a question

Have any of you read Tolstoy? Do you have a favourite?  This is a very interesting documentary that l found this week. He was an interesting man and led an interesting life. He is regarding as one of the greatest Russian writers and l think it is a well deserved titile. What do you think?
