It's Wednesday and that means poetry.




 Today l have a German poem by Rainer Maria Rilke.


I believe that poetry is a universal language and you can find wonderful poems in so many countries.  I know that I'm enjoying my research. 


Next week I'm thinking of maybe looking at Japan, or maybe Czechoslovakia.  What would you like to hear? Can you recommend any poets from your country.

Have any of you read Tolstoy? Do you have a favourite?  This is a very interesting documentary that l found this week. He was an interesting man and led an interesting life. He is regarding as one of the greatest Russian writers and l think it is a well deserved titile. What do you think?

We have a release date for the next Robert Galbraith books. I don't want to wait until September,  but, I'm going to have to.  Do you like these books? Have any of you seen the Strike series?. And, am l going to wait even longer because I'm here in Australia?  I know we wait longer for films? Can someone explain why to me? Leave me a comment.

Calling all poets, new and emerging

The heat has returned and so have l to where l stay in between jobs. We're having a hot, humid summer that never seems to stop.  Good weather for staying inside and writing poetry. Today l am sharing the names of some poetry prizes around the world.  All for emerging and new poets. Perhaps one of them is you. I hope so.
